A non governmental organisation, organised CRY Model United Nations for the underprivileged children in Delhi, in association with Lloyd Law College. The objective of this MUN was to bring out positive changes in the lives of children through discussion and deliberation. The event was organised on 18 October, 2018- Sunday at Conference Hall, Lloyd Law College. The children debated and learnt further on an issue such as Child Marriage, an issue so close to their hearts and their lived realities. Resolutions are being developed as a consequence to the debate in the Child Rights Committee and will be adopted by the CRY MUN soon.
The Children arrived at Lloyd Law College at 11:00 a,m. and after taking breakfast proceeded to the conference hall along with CRY Volunteers. The child rights committee debated in two sessions. The first session was conducted from 11: 30 to 1:30 pm and the second session was conducted from 2:30 to 5:00 pm. The certificates were distributed at 5:00 p.m to all the participants and to the Best speaker, 2nd Best Speaker and High Commendation Award. These children shared real l
Life experience where they have witnessed child marriages and some of them were courageous enough to even stop child marriages in their community. It was a great experience and we look forward to more collaborations with CRY on similar child rights initiatives.
