Ms. Bijetri Roy received a Merit (First Class) LL.M degree from Queen Mary University of London in 2014, and prior to which she received a First Class B.A. – LL.B (Honours) degree from Department of Law University of Calcutta in 2013.

She has always been inclined towards academics and teaching was always her career-goal, however to gain industrial and practical experience in the profession, she started her career in 2014 as a Researcher (Women’s rights, Sexual Abuse, Domestic Violence and Child sexual abuse) under Adv. Flavia Agnes at her NGO “Majlis Legal”, Mumbai, after which she joined as a banking and finance lawyer at a boutique banking law firm “Orbit Law Services”. Having worked as a banking lawyer for more than a year, she made a shift as banking professional at “SBI CAP Trustee Company (under SBI group)” where she worked for almost 2 years.

Owing to her passion for teaching and mentoring since her post graduation and law firm days, she joined Lloyd Law College as a Visiting Lecturer for 2 months, and has now joined as a full time Assistant Professor at Lloyd Law College. Ms. Bijetri is also passionate about research and writing.
